A tale of two surgeries
The crown for bravery and valor is up for grabs - Who do you think has the better battle scar? Email us and let us know. The winner will receive either a bottle of wine or a box of Frosty Paws. (Do you really think Dr Arnott should be drinking.) Vote now.
A note to all my friends and clients
A quick update on my progression. After some re plumbing with the love
of my wife and family and the support and dedication of my staff at Oak
Tree, I am recovering quickly and getting anxious to get back to work.
The cards and support from all my wonderful Oak Tree family has been a
great lift, thank you.
I have been advised that my intense nature may have been a factor but
not one I'm willing to change. (I will try to watch my diet OK?)
I hope to see you all real soon.
Dr Arnott
Update on Dr. Arnott
Dr. Arnott is home and "resting" comfortably. He is cleaning his grill, watching his koi grow, cursing at the lush, uncut lawn and walking, walking, walking his dogs. Poor Heidi and Lola have probably lost 10 pounds each. He pops in occasionally to check on his patients and stays until we push him out the door. Your continued good thoughts are appreciated.
Dr. Arnott underwent bypass surgery to correct a blocked coronary artery on June 9th. He is recovering at California Pacific Hospital in San Francisco. He remains in good spirits (really folks has he ever been in good spirits??) but needs our support and words of encouragement to get him through this difficult time. Throughout this ordeal, he has continued to demonstrate his wry sense of humor. He also continues to care for all of his patients by asking about the progress of his ongoing cases over and over again. We will keep you updated on his progress and his anticipated date of return. Please keep good thoughts for him, and stop by the office to sign his get well card!
Sincerely,
Lexie Endo DVM and the entire staff at Oak Tree Animal Hospital
About Oak Tree Animal Hospital
Welcome to Oak Tree Animal Hospital. Since taking over in 2004, we have had the unique opportunity of working in a small town environment. We have strived to provide quality veterinary medicine in a more caring and less formal environment. With the efforts of our dedicated staff and the help of our board certified specialists, I believe we have accomplished our goal.
As a proud member of the American Animal Hospital Association, we are bound to a high standard of quality patient care. Only 12% of all small animal veterinary practices in the U.S. have achieved accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). In order to maintain accreditation, Oak Tree must continue to be evaluated regularly by the association's trained consultants in more than 900 standards covering patient care, client services, medical equipment, practice methods, and facility management.
Our family has spread far and wide. We have clients from all around the Bay Area including San Francisco, Fairfield, Modesto, San Jose, Redwood City, Richmond and San Leandro. Some come from as far as Carmel and even out of state!
We want to thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life, and we will continue to provide compassionate quality care for your pets.
Sincerely,
Dr. Arnott and the entire staff of Oak Tree Animal Hospital
